Yeah I do agree with that line of thinking.

I don't agree on the general "he's done his job part so there's no need for him anymore" argument. Even though current off takes exist and discussions with western end users are "well advanced", he'd still be quite a critical point of reference along the information chain. His job wouldn't be done until goods are exchanged and paid for, and even then I'd imagine it transitions to an account manager of sorts. Either him or a replacement but not just a void.
I'll be watching to see how this plays out for sure
