Why let it get to a 99% loss though? At some point, down 30, 40, 50, 60% down you need to accept you were wrong on the investment and cut it. It's not nice to accept a loss but losing 40% is significantly better than this
It was clear as day 12 months ago this was cooked. Stubbornness can cost us a lot of money holding a dead duck
