I think it is better to have someone who has all the mates in the goldies than someone who has mates in used car dealerships :D

And may be he has a deep pocket and mates with deep pockets to put a rocket under the SP of EDM. We need mates, especially in this climate. ;)

As for 0.3, if you think the company won't be folded, the downside is only 2 fips but the upside? .... Depends on your risk appetite and how long you can hold.
