The reality of the situation is that you would only agree to join the board of a company that is as close to insolvency as OGX is if you are well remunerated. The risks that directors take on at this stage are quite high, as they may be personally prosecuted or held liable if the company trades while insolvent (and it isn't always clear when company's are insolvent which raises the risk again).
