I work in the medical field. In medicine in general, and specially in areas like oncology, heart disease etc, "the first ever" in the market does not apply. it 8s not about making a fashion statement.
Lets hit the reality of it ...
We are talking about people's lives. We are not talking about some iphone version. A patient may only ever get one chance at trying a reatment. They don't line up behind a store, just because they want to be the first, ... they want to live to be with their family ... and it take a lot to consider a treatment option.
... and if it is a new treatment that in itself (as it should) takes time to stablish itself.
I think a lot of us fail to see things from a patient perspective, from.a parents perspective whose kid is having a serious condition. In fact it helps even as an nvestment strategy to see it from that perspective.
