AVZ MINERALS appoints Dr. Casta Tungaraza and Serge Ngandu to the board of directors

As of September 25, 2023, Dr. Casta Tungaraza of Tanzanian origin, with more than 40 years of industry experience in Australia and Tanzania, is appointed as an independent director of the Australian group, AVZ Minerals Limited.

Tungaraza is currently the Goodwill Ambassador of Tanzanian Tourism in Australia, also Chair of the Advisory Group on Australian-Africa Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In particular, the Congolese, Serge Ngandu in the position of Executive Director, Ngandu currently Director of General Affairs of Dathcom Mining SA, a joint venture between COMINIERE (Congolese State, AVZ Minerals and DATHOMIR.

Serge Ngandu, who can notably boast 40 years of experience in the mining industry sector, in various African countries, such as France, the Central African Republic, South Africa, Sierra Leone and DR Congo.

The couple of managers will have the mission to try to regain control of the Manono lithium project in the province of Tanganyika, to clarify the dark points between AVZ Minerals and its partner in DATCHCOM SA, COMINIERE (Congolais portfolio company).

But above all, try to renew relations and resume discussions with the Congolese Government, which had suspended the PE13359 operating permit of the joint venture, DATHCOM SA.
