DIRECTOR: ATM: Appointment of Director
The Board of A2 Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
David Hearn as a non-executive Director of A2 Corporation Limited (A2C).
During the past year, the Company has undertaken a process of review of the
structure, composition and remuneration of the Board. An independent
consultant was engaged to assist this process overseen by the Board
Nomination Committee. A number of changes were approved at the November 2013
annual meeting including an increase in the maximum number of directors, an
increase in the director fees pool and the election of Ms Julia Hoare as a
Director. These changes support the strategy to evolve the composition of the
Board in an orderly way and ensure the skills and experience of the Directors
support the company's strategic agenda.
This appointment is consistent with the plan to designate non-executive
Directors to provide oversight and support of activities in regional markets,
with David Hearn assuming this responsibility for the UK and Europe.
The Board has determined that David Hearn is an Independent Director.
David brings a strong skill set in executive management, sales and marketing
and strategy development in fast moving consumer goods in international
markets. Over the past 12 months David has been engaged as non- executive
Chairman of the now wholly owned UK subsidiary of A2C. His previous
executive career has included Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director
roles for profile FMCG companies including Goodman Fielder Limited, UB Snack
Foods Europe/Asia, Del Monte UK and Smith's Crisps and the marketing services
group, Cordiant Communications Group.
David was educated at Oxford University with first class Honours in English
Literature, is married with 2 children and based in London.
