The Board of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC today announces that Mr Richard
Killingbeck has succeeded Mr Richard Brewster as Chairman of the Company. Mr
Killingbeck has been a director of the Company since December 2003.

The Board wishes to thank Richard Brewster for his outstanding service and
contribution as Chairman for the past eight years and a director for 22
years.

As a result of these changes Mr Richard Burns has assumed the role of Senior
Independent Director.
