Appointment of New Non-Executive Director

The Bankers Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Julian Chillingworth as a non executive director to the Board with effect
from the Board Meeting immediately prior to the Annual General Meeting on 25
February 2015, when he will be seeking appointment by shareholders.

Mr Richard Killingbeck, Chairman of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC, said
"the Directors and I are delighted that Julian has agreed to join us bringing
to the Board his valuable investment experience from his extensive career.
He was formerly Head of Gross Funds which incorporated Pension Funds and
Charities at Investec and was Head of Equities at Hambros. He is currently
the Chief Investment Officer for Rathbone Brothers plc."

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is
confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to
Mr Chillingworth.
