FONTERRA APPOINTS DIRECTOR TO FSF MANAGEMENT COMPANY BOARD

Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited has today announced that it has appointed
one of its directors, Professor Nicola Shadbolt, to the Board of FSF
Management Company Limited, the manager of the Fonterra Shareholders' Fund
with effect from the close of the Fonterra Shareholders' Fund Annual Meeting
on 14 November 2014.
Professor Shadbolt replaces Jim van der Poel, who will be retiring from the
FSF Management Company Limited Board on 14 November 2014, following the
announcement of his retirement as a director of Fonterra.
Professor Shadbolt was elected to the Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited
Board in 2009 and serves on the Audit and Finance Committee. Nicola is a
Professor of Farm and Agribusiness Management at Massey University, a
Director of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association,
and represents New Zealand in the International Farm Comparison Network in
Dairying. Nicola and her husband live in the Pohangina Valley in the
Manawatu, which is the base for the five farming and forestry equity
partnerships they run, which include two dairy farms.
