I agree with you guys that on the face of it, this looks like bad timing considering the SP decimation the last few months.
On the other hand, you could look at it like this is a sign that Eric is taking his role more seriously now, allocating a lot more of his time to the project, and feels like the upcoming results will justify his remuneration.
I take it as a positive sign that he and the board believe in the future of ENV and we should expect some very positive news over the coming months.
If he proves up CODA, I'm sure holders will soon forget about his remuneration. And let's face it, $300K isn't exactly much for a CEO (maybe for a $10m MC it might be a stretch. Better would be a lower base with SP related incentives). Hasn't he been working pretty much for free all this time?
I think it marks the start of a new beginning for ENV, with the board taking things more seriously.
