DIRECTOR: IAG: IAG APPOINTS INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) Chairman, Mr Brian Schwartz AM, today
announced the appointment of Ms Elizabeth Bryan AM to the IAG Board as an
Independent Non-Executive Director.
Ms Bryan is Chairman of Caltex Australia and a Director of Westpac Banking
Corporation.
She is also a part-time member of the Takeovers Panel, a member of the ASIC
Director Advisory Panel, the Australian Treasury Advisory Council and a
trustee of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences.
Ms Bryan's executive career has included senior roles with a variety of
financial and corporate institutions, including eight years as Chief
Executive of Deutsche Asset Management, and its predecessor, NSW State
Superannuation Investment and Management Corporation.
Mr Schwartz said: "We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth to the IAG Board.
She brings a great depth
of corporate, statutory and financial experience to IAG and I look forward to
her contribution."
Ms Bryan's appointment is effective immediately.
