Andy Coupe appointed as an independent director of Kingfish Limited
Kingfish Limited has appointed Andy Coupe as an independent director of the
company effective from 1 March 2013.
Kingfish Chairman, Alistair Ryan said, "Last year the Board undertook a
search for a new director to bring the Board back up to four directors. We
are delighted that Andy has accepted the position."
Andy brings extensive capital markets knowledge having worked in a number of
sectors within the financial markets over the last 30 years. Currently, he is
a consultant in investment banking at UBS New Zealand Limited where his role
principally encompasses equity capital markets and takeover transactions
which has involved numerous initial public offerings and secondary market
transactions. He is also Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Takeovers Panel, a
director of Farmright Limited and a member of the Institute of Finance
Professionals New Zealand.
Alistair Ryan said, "The directors are pleased to have someone with Andy's
commercial and capital markets experience join the Board and we believe he is
well placed to make a very positive contribution."
In accordance with the company's constitution, this appointment runs until
the next annual shareholders' meeting when he must retire and seek election
by shareholders.
Andy will also join the Boards of Kingfish's sister listed investment
companies, Barramundi Limited and Marlin Global Limited.
The Board of Kingfish has determined Andy Coupe to be an independent
director, as defined in the NZX Listing Rules.
