DIRECTOR: KRK: Appointment of new Board Director

The board of Kirkcaldie & Stains Limited has today appointed Michael Gerard
Curtis as a director. Mr Curtis replaces John Milford whose resignation was
announced in December last year, effective 17 March.

Mr Curtis is a dedicated Wellingtonian with a strong business history in the
city. He founded Curtis McLean in 1989, providing financial, taxation and
business advisory services to businesses, individuals and not for profit
organisations. The company merged with Deloitte in February 2014 and is now
an integral part of Deloitte Private.

Mr Curtis will be required to resign and stand for re-election at the next
Annual Meeting. Mr Curtis is associated to a substantial shareholder and
therefore is not an independent director.
