Board Changes
The Board of NZ Windfarms Limited has appointed Rodger Kerr-Newell as a
director effective from 1 March 2016.
Rodger Kerr-Newell has extensive senior management and governance experience
in both the public and private sector. He is a past Chief Executive of Hutt
City Council, New Plymouth District Council, Rodney District and Taranaki
Investment Managers Ltd, and is a former board member of Business NZ. He
brings key strengths in strategy, financial management, cost cutting and
knowledge of local government regulatory processes to the board.
In accordance with the Company's constitution, this appointment runs until
the next Annual General Meeting when he must retire and seek re-election by
the shareholders.
The Board has determined that Mr Kerr-Newell will be an independent director
of NZ Windfarms Limited.
As announced in December, Derek Walker has given notice of his intention to
retire as Chair and as a director following the completion of the Board
review process. With new appointments now completed, Derek Walker will retire
effective from 1 March 2016.
The Board have elected Dr Julian Elder to be the Chair from 1 March, with
Stuart Bauld becoming Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
