DIRECTOR: NZO: Chairman steps down New Zealand Oil & Gas Chairman Peter Gr

New Zealand Oil & Gas Chairman Peter Griffiths has stepped down from the
company's Board for personal reasons, effective from today.

Mr Rodger Finlay, an Akaroa-based professional director, will be the new
Chairman. Mr Finlay is an independent director who joined the Board in 2012.

Mr Griffiths joined the Board of New Zealand Oil & Gas in December 2009. He
was its longest-serving director. He was elected Chairman in late 2012.
