DIRECTOR: NZR: Refining NZ Announcement - Appointment of Chairman
The Directors of the New Zealand Refining Company Limited have appointed
Simon Allen as Chairman following the retirement of David Jackson.
A professional director and consultant with 30 years' experience in the
Australian and New Zealand Financial markets, Simon Allen brings a wealth of
experience to the role, including chairing the Financial Markets Authority
since its establishment in 2011 and NZX Limited (NZX) from 2001 until 2008.
The Board believes Simon's considerable business experience, proven
leadership and strategic insight will complement that of his fellow
Directors.
At the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders yesterday, Simon Allen was
also elected as an Independent Director of the Company. The Directors of the
New Zealand Refining Company Limited confirm that the Independent Directors
are Simon Allen, Peter Springford and Vanessa Stoddart.
The Board thanks David Jackson for his significant, professional contribution
over the past ten years, and at the same time, welcomes Simon as Chairman of
Refining NZ.
