Ease up turbo. There are ways of pointing things out without being like that. I'm clearly new, go easy, I'm learning. Thank you though for taking the time to point out that there was something I had missed. I'll be sure to keep it in mind in future.

So, I went and had a look at all of the relevant Change of Director's Interest Notices (as you suggested I do) that NABTrade would (easily) let me pull up. This got me as far back as 31Dec20 which I figured was a big enough time frame. Mr Singh already had 41.7m EVR shares being indirectly held by Valens International Pty Ltd (of which he is director and shareholder) and 10m set aside as performance rights. He went on from there to buy another 14.8m plus 10m options since then for $535k in 9 separate transactions and increased his (ordinary) share position by ~35%.

Looking at this most recent purchase in context of these 9 buys December 2020, this is easily the smallest parcel, with the next closest being more than double (05Jan21). It's the second least amount he's splashed out in this period, but only just and on that occasion got over twice as many shares(05Jan21).

Zooming out a bit, our friend Mr. Singh is not afraid of throwing 6 figures at a purchase and has done so twice. His average buy value is $59k and if you're that way inclined, his median is $48k. For quantity it is 800k and 1.6m respectively.

However based on your observations, I think these numbers mean very little except for the number of trades (9) and the time frame they were made in (~17 months). The real story is his continued regular buying. As you say, this shows personal confidence by the board in their company - and Mr. Singh is not the only one buying. From a FA perspective this is good news for well-informed LT holders, but it's not going to get people rushing to board the rocket.

I still stand by the original intent of my first post though that this recent purchase is far from indicating "all systems go" (see today's price action). What would be good to see is continued or increased buying from the Mr. Singh or his BoD buddies, but we probably don't want to see it dry up - although that could just mean that Mr. Singh is re-balancing his portfolio I guess.
