Accent Group got some "free" advertising on the NSW ABC 7pm news bulletin Tuesday night, just prior to the finance report. Segment showed footage of online sales being processed in a warehouse where shop staff have been re deployed to handle the large volume of on line sales.
Footage also shown of shop set up catering for social distancing. Impressive shop layout. Interview with a Company spokesman was also positive as the company are very pleased with sales volume. Also mentioned they will be closing 28 shops when their leases expire as landlords in those centres refused to re negotiate the rents. (we already knew that via company announcements)
All in all a favourable report from the ABC which would not have been out of place on a commercial channel. Retail is up and running again. The share price just hasn't woken up to that.......................yet. Good buying atm. Retail will have its day in the sun again. All aboard.
