A possible scenario:
Lisa was restructured out of Intel Capital. Why? We don’t know, but good people are never sacked and rarely made redundant. We can therefore assume that there were people Intel wanted more than Lisa on the team. XPE knew Lisa from dealings with Intel and guessed she might give them some insight into the machinations at Intel they could use to their advantage. They made Lisa an offer which she accepted, after all, a pay is a pay.

Lisa resigned or was pushed, we don’t know which or why, but it hardly matters. XPE is the same team as before and probably got what they wanted in terms on information.
