John Hutton's resignation probably should not surprise, given the contents of the AGM Notice.

I do not know him, but I wish him all the best, and I am sure that he did his job well as a non-Exec Director for the long time that he was there. He was on the SFR Board when it hit Degrussa. It's unfortunate that he won't be on the RNI Board when it hits the big one. However, he will have the comfort and delight of owning or controlling 9.428m shares when that happens, plus 2m unlisted 12c options due in 2 years' time.

I know that he is involved with the local aborigine clan up at Cone Bay and its connection with the barramundi farming there. That activity suggests a responsible social ethic.

I expect that there will be a replacement appointed soon. I wonder who that will be and what expertise he or she will bring.
