I didn't directly answer your question in my post but I don't think that is what happened on Friday. Someone decided for whatever reason, maybe upon hearing that news early, to panic buy 90% of available public shares. If it was Nick trying to get out there would have been red candles and a significant dumping in the weeks leading up to it. I think he probably held onto them, or didn't sell them publicly. If we get news in the next weeks that Eggers bought him out it wouldn't surprise me.
Given we are close to Christmas I wonder if the Grynch might make an appearance soon.
