The theory on non executives is sound enough. The practice, well that’s another thing. Actually not an employee, mostly kept away from the running anything. Some bring good outside connection/skills. This particular one would appear to have had some financial/investment skills. Now I guess shareholders will have an opinion on how well the financial/investment scene went during the period consulting fees were paid. IMHO few Nons are good or bad enough to make even a blip on markets, but no doubt we will see the CEO’s glowing welcome to yet another brilliant one soon, perhaps connected to a well connected T20 :/~
