I believe that the value of this procurement from PNV’s Italian distributor, Medival, is ~A$13,000. This particular hospital seems to be allowing for use of approximately one 10cm x 10cm sheet of BTM each month.
Giuliano Isontina University Healthcare Company is located in Trieste, on the Italian/Slovenian border. The population of Trieste is similar to that of Hobart.
While this hospital’s order value might be modest, it nonetheless provides evidence that sales of BTM are happening in Europe, even outside the UK and DACH countries. A foot in the door in Trieste is a welcome sign; as David Williams says, once surgeons have tried it….
