I thought myself luck when I stumbled across this stock just before Xmas. I resisted to buy back then because of the gap up on the 21st. One of my rules is to never chase a shooting star.

I then did some research and listened to the recorded investor presentation from the 9th Dec. Liked what I read and especially what I heard from the Directors at that presentation. They seemed very genuine and bullish about the prospects for SMN.

But the share price never came back down and closed that gap, as I was expecting, and it raced away to nearly $2.00. Thought I had missed the boat. Then she retraced a little, but I could see that there was some very keen buying of the dips. So I decided to get in at an average of $1.65. Bought my last tranche this morning at $1.70. Then the shite hit the fan.

I am a little pissed off to say the least. Although the Directors have a right to sell their shares I think the circumstances leading up to the sale are questionable.

There was a shareholder update on the 9th.
The Directors were bullish and strongly hinted that the Sikorski announcement was imminent.
They stated that they were doing roadshows and broker presentation whilst back in Australia.

And what has this resulted in:

A runaway share price;
Obviously supported by brokers recommending SMN to clients post Director's presentations;
No announcement from Sikorski;
and Directors selling into a strong share price rally.

Not very well handled guys. Not at all.

I doubt much has changed given they were happy with the Sikorsky progress then and we know the device works.
