DIRECTOR: SKC: Outgoing Chairman R McGeoch to stay on as Director
SKYCITY Deputy Chairman Bruce Carter today announced that out-going chairman
Rod McGeoch will stay on as a director of the company.
Mr Carter also confirmed that current director Chris Moller will take over as
chairman.
"Rod had originally planned to step down as both chairman and as a director
at this year's Annual General Meeting.
"However, the Board has invited Rod to stay on as a director for a two-year
term so he can keep contributing to the continued growth of SKYCITY. He will
stand for re-election to the Board at the AGM," Mr Carter said.
"Rod has a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts that will be valuable
to SKYCITY as we look to grow the company's opportunities in New Zealand and
Australia," Mr Carter said.
Incoming SKYCITY chairman Chris Moller said he was looking forward to
continuing to work with Mr McGeoch.
"Rod has been closely involved in SKYCITY's significant development projects
in Auckland and Adelaide in particular so it makes sense for him to stay on
while these projects are progressed," Mr Moller said.
