DIRECTOR: TME: New director appointed
Sydney-based technology entrepreneur, investor and consultant Paul McCarney
has been appointed as an independent director of Trade Me Group Ltd ("Trade
Me"). He joins David Kirk, Joanna Perry, Sam Morgan, Gail Hambly and Greg
Hywood on the Trade Me board of directors.
Trade Me chairman David Kirk said he was very pleased with the appointment.
"It's great to have someone of Paul's calibre join the board. His skills in
technology and marketing will be a great asset as the board looks to build
value for Trade Me shareholders."
Mr McCarney has 15 years' experience in technology and digital marketing
including co-founding search marketing agency Decide Interactive (acquired by
NASDAQ-listed 24/7 Real Media in 2004), and founding digital marketing
company Life Event Media (acquired by directory business Sensis in 2011). He
is also the chairman of Sydney-based digital publishing specialist
Mogeneration.
Mr McCarney said he was excited to be joining the Trade Me board. "I'm really
looking forward to getting involved at one of New Zealand's best-known
technology companies."
