I just commented on David Stewart´s retirement on the 17th and now a few days later we find out that he has returned as a non-executive director. I must have had a premonition!

My main question is, what are we to make of his return as a non-executive director after retiring as CEO & Managing Director?

One can only speculate.

Was the hot seat too hot?
Did he want to retire but not die of boredom?
Does he want to keep a closer eye on his substantial investment and have a hand in guiding the company?
Perhaps he just wants to remain on the payroll?

Ummmm?
