I have a similar view as to, what are Andrew Abercrombie's long term plans, for his HUM investment.
If you are correct then it's time to enact the Solly Lew Country Road Strategy. For about 10 years Lew rebuffed every offer from Woolworths (Sth Africa) to buy out Lew's shares and achieve 100% ownership. Lew held out for at least 10 years and towards the end built up a stake just over 10% so shares in Country Road could never be compulsorily acquired.
In desperation Woolworths (Sth Africa) caved in and gave Lew a dream price and then became a 100% owner.
If enough retail shareholders in HUM maintained enough shares () more than 10% collectively) then Abercrombie can never move to 100% ownership. I am younger and just as healthy as Abercrombie therefore I plan to out wait him.
If the AGM is in Melbourne I will be attending.
