One can only guess, but if I could get a lot more for a specimen than the spot price of gold, I would take the opportunity.
The negative would be, transport, storage, auction costs and finally delivery with a payment some months down the track.
Those costs and hold ups need to be weighed against the simple process of crush and process with spot price at the time.
I would assume they will opt for the latter and keep the money flowing into the bank.
I would love to be wrong however and see a price much higher than spot.

I was very fortunate and got my allocation in the raise.
