You may want to inform your ‘mate’ that if Mr Iles is sharing that type of information, he would be in breach of the insider trading section of the company’s own recently revised Securities Trading Policies.
“if you are in possession of Inside Information relating to the Company, the insider trading provisions of the Corporations Act prohibit you from...
directly or indirectly passing on information to another person if you know, or ought reasonably know that the person may use this information to buy, sell or deal in the Company’s Securities.
Examples of inside information include....
...the operational performance of the Company including strategy progress and outcomes.”
You literally said you would buy shares based off the information you posted that your ‘mate’ got from Iles.
Surely our CEO with his wealth of industry experience wouldn’t be dumb enough to breach his own company policy and the Corporations Act.
Would he?
Has he?
