I don't think anything is before the courts at the moment. Two approvals pending that should be wrapped up within weeks, and it's all with the government.
1) Detailed plan. The government has instructed the Kiruna Municipality to adopt the detailed plan by no later than 16th June. The municipality will need to decide today (2nd June) whether they adopt the plan or hand it over to the County Administrative Board to make it happen. The CAB's role is to implement government decisions. I would expect they'll make the CAB do it because it's all just political posturing at this stage.
2) Exploitation concession. This was granted by the Mining Inspectorate (a government department) then appealed. Ruling on this expected this month. The appeal is being reviewed by the gov. department not the courts. If the appeal is denied then that permit becomes live immediately.
The government has strongly supported Talga at every step, with full backing from Ebba Busch (Minister for Energy, Business and Industry) and now the weight of EU legislation also behind them with the CRMA and Vittangi's strategic project status.
After this no more permits outstanding and away we go
