Because PEX don't seem to show any inclination or possibility that they will ever mine or monetise their awesome discoveries - thats why. The base metals are safe as houses buried underground near Southern Nights, thats where they will stay unless PEX pull their finger out, there's no danger of anyone mining them until at least 2025 at current rates of progress...
And that's from a PEX holder.
