BUT, as much as I think STX wants TPD and TPD wants STX, they both have pressures from their shareholders that need careful management. Naturally, TPD wants more, and STX wants to pay less - especially as this is a cash flow that was originally 100% theirs !!

Anyway, with both sides walking it gives room for STX & TPD to manage "down" the expectations of their respective holders. They both fought it out and nothing came of it, so clearly both sides have to give a bit for a resolution!

After today, I can see STX shareholders now willing to accept a higher offer for TPD, and TPD holders happier to accept less from STX.

I reckon (pure spec) that 0.5 could be the magic number....it only takes a phone call from either side.
