I totally agree.
Do not understand why you would take up offer at a higher price than market?
Would only "possibly" consider supporting if management were also "doing the right thing by us shareholders", i.e. paying themselves minimal salaries and showing that they were also on board and willing to support the company.
Reminds me of late Kerry Packer's comment at the Goanna enquiry when questioned about potential tax minimisation and he responded "Of course I am minimising my tax. And if anybody in this country doesn't minimise their tax, they want their heads read, because as a government, I can tell you you're not spending it that well that we should be donating extra!".
In other words, "Of course I am minimising my LOM shares cost base / purchase price ... because if management is not spending the money that well, why should I pay extra!".
