The VIX (volatility index) up a massive 40% overnight. Trump policies are hitting the fan now but this is just the early stages. Much pain to be felt.
Remember 2007 when the markets started to tank? It took 18 months of slow by painful declines and 50% losses to find a bottom. In the old days a market crash would happen in a day. Everybody would run for the exits like there was a fire in the middle of the room and it would be done. Legal, regulatory and technological changes now prevent that. Modern times we are tortured over a period of months but the outcomes is still the same.
Trump did say that he would drive down the value of eggs and sure enough nest eggs are being smashed all over the shop.
