The more shares you own, the harder it is to sell and also the decision to sell also depends on how long you have owned them. There are quite a few variables that you must take into account before selling:
a. How long have you owned them IE: 《 12 mths or 》12mths will depend on capital gains, b. How many, c. Purchase price, d. Sell price, e. Anticipated profit, f. Capital Gain/ Capital Loss g. Other capital gains h. Tax implications IE: Tax bracket, will it push you into next bracket
The other situation that you mind yourself in could be if the SP jumps quickly. Do you sell? IE: you own 100,000 shares at an average of $0.19 SP jumps to $0.39 in 3 days. Profit of $20,000 do you sell? After taking into consideration all of the above, you decide to hold off, sp falls to $0.24 now you kicking yourself. SP rises to $0.80 over next 4 mths. You hold shares for 15mths, sell all make $60,000 pay $30,000 in tax.
Now let's change it to 1,000,000 shares at average of $0.19, shares jump to $0.39 profit of $200,000 if you sell. You hold, shares jump to $0.80 profir of $600,000. Do you sell???
That is the conundrum that you need to workout prior to having to make the difficult decision. Also given GMV's SP how it has wallowed in low figures of late, it is possible that quite a few people have already accumulated a 1,000,000 and may find themselves in this situation. It is also possible that GMV's SP can jump or move forward like this in a short period of time.
I have not intended to waffle or try to tell people to suck eggs, but GMV SH's will most likely have this problem in the near future.
