Not wanting to post on an older thread but feel it's most relevant to this ann given it relates to the mining/processing.

This is the the courier mail article on BMR I mentioned on another thread earlier relating to the court approval hearing, looks like it can be read through this way, hopefully the links work.

Ballymore Resources seeks court approval to restart gold mining at abandoned Dittmer mine, Proserpine
    7 May 2025
Interestingly, the article reports that the group of locals concerned and protesting against any mining activity as pointed out prior, wasn't attended by the objectors themselves or representatives eg lawyers etc. Not sure if there is a specific reason or if we can read into it that they don't believe they have a legitimate legal reason to object.
'Lawyers for DETSI agreed the hearing was unusual because “there is not active objector in a mining objection hearing” meaning its role only involved assisting the court and addressing any concerns with the draft EA and mining lease.'

Residents in Whitsundays village of Dittmer say ‘no’ to Ballymore mining lease
    4 April 2024
This article from April 2024 shows the company (at that time) planned to truck ore out to be processed off site (not much of a shock, it wouldn't make sense to even look into processing on site for obvious reasons), which would largely mitigate any water contamination concerns and given it's underground. this would mitigate concerns at surface level, in particular relating to fauna/flora.

The newer article also quotes 'the company also planned to upgrade the current public access track to Proserpine State Forest “to a modern standard”, adding any haulage trucks would not go through the main Dittmer road and there were no plans to mine towards the town.' so any concerns about trucks/machinery etc going through town isn't relevant and they don't intend to even use the road that leads to the town. My assumption is that they will create a relatively short road north east to join an existing road or one west to existing tracks then north to an existing road.

Of most note to me from the first article was this bit and why I'm using this ann to post.
The court heard Ballymore’s estimated mining depth was 82m in 2025, 140m in 2026 and 220m or deepest by 2027.

Yes, Estimated mining depths starting this year for the next to 3 years... MINING this year???
This sounds like they have a rough idea on a mining plan and I would assume they are possibly intending to have ore processed this year...
