Disregarding BTC isnt disregarding technology anymore than disregarding Peter Brocks "energy polariser" isnt disregarding car performance modification technology.
Making a profit on something isnt necessarily due to the merit of the product. Blockchain has great potential but BTC is not special among cryptos other than its current sentiment. If not for that there is nothing behind it.
Some of it's superior competitors will ultimately usurp it before 99% of them get sucked into a black hole and sent to crypto heaven to meet their god, Michael Saylor. When this happens they will be replaced by something with intrinsic value that has universal utility, confidence and widespread adoption. Maybe DEGCOIN ?
