Really great to have the divestment completed per the original deal, a great that it negotiated before the worst of the poo fall, and completed despite this.
Folk need however to stop thinking of the (up to ) USD 32 mm "recieveable" as any thing resembling cash, or as worth anything even close to face value. It is no where near the bank, would take a lot more than 4 years to recieve, and at least to me it is unclear what taxes it may be subject to.
At say 5000 bopd gross the 12% equates to 120 bopd net for the 20%, approx. 43,000 bbl pa. At USD50/bbl ( it sells at a substantial discount to Brent) that is only USD 2.2 mm pa. Even if production were to double we would be talking nearly 8 years, not the 4 asserted by one poster. Atm it would take nearer 16 years!!
Likewise re asserting 30 year hype does not help inform any one.
