Subject - ASR distribution for Q3 2015
The Smartshares Australian Resources Index Trust (ASR) was launched in April
2015, and invests in 32 Australian Resources companies.
ASR pays semi-annual distributions, where available, based on income received
during that distribution calculation period from the 32 underlying
investments.
To 11 September 2015, the Trust has not received sufficient income to cover
its tax liability for the period. As a result, ASR will not pay a semi-annual
distribution for the distribution period ending 30 September 2015.
Smartshares expect this to correct in the next distribution period and the
Trust should be in a position to pay a final distribution in April 2016.
