The trouble with price predictions is exactly that - they are just predictions and thus subject to so many variables. In reality when demand goes up and supply is constrained that is generally good for suppliers. Coal has been painted as a dirty commodity but so far despite all the bagging and doom and gloom demand is strong currently. Predicting the future prices is at best a guess - educated perhaps but nevertheless a guess.
There were predictions of gold hitting US$3000/oz by some analysts - fell somewhat short - perhaps down the track, one never can be certain but just goes to show the reality of projections.
TER currently is getting a good price for it's product and there are as yet no shortages of buyers - for the foreseeable short term at least that bodes well for dividends - up to 90% from profit payout sounds rather enticing. But of course, agree on being careful and only hold shares in any company where you have the stomach should things go pear shaped as many companies do fold and often without too much warning. One such recent company was valued at around 30c, last traded at under 10c and then without warning went into administration to the obvious disgust and ire to holders - holders unlikely to see any returns per dollar value invested. Tough and risky life - not many saw it coming. TER currently is making good money - hope that continues for a good while and thus I still don't understand why sp has not increased to well above a buck - perhaps as the year progresses?? AIMO
