TER did average around US$275 / t in Dec-22 quarter (around AU$400 / t at current FX rate) out of Blair Athol. Per the quarter report they averaged AU$408 / t.
As my calculations above based on Dec-22 quarter result, a ~$0.10 cent dividend could be possible with a 100% payout, but you don't see companies paying out 100% of their profits.
the Sep-22 dividend was declared on the 17th of November, and as you said ex div 24th. maybe they are waiting for half year financial report to be released or near completion before declaring Dec-22 dividend. however they did do their 30 June 2022 dividend declaration 4 days before releasing the preliminary 2022 financial report. The inconsistency of announcements can be frustrating.
