You qualify if you are an Aust resident for tax purposes and hold the shares at risk ( with limits on derivative exposure of the share, if any) for at least 45 days, not including the day purchased and sold. I assume you are holding the shares as an individual rather than through an entity. At top marginal rate of 47% incl medicare levy the effective tax rate on the div is approx 24.3% after gross up and tax offset (I.e franking credit)
