I bought in heavily at $24.50 this morning.
More than i usually would of.
Be it franked or other wise it does not affect me being domiciled on paper.
I thought the reports were good. Better than what i had expected.
Australians are very good at paying down their debt on mortgages.
A lot of banter about the USD & strength in markets, how ever a lot of people misunderstand that actuation of markets.
The Euro Dollar is subject to the overall market. The fed has little control over Global dollar markets.
ANZ have done well with buying on the LIBOR and within its hedges.
Somebody in ANZ has a very smart head on their shoulders or is very connected to banks in Tokyo, New York & London.
Well done ANZ. Surprised me...the only concern i have is the last auction of derivatives. They are being unwound balance sheets and are being trimmed and Interbank over night lending is being financed with collateral.
Interesting.
ANZ could end up being the safest bank in Australia financially in due course.
I didnt see that coming.
MQG should have a good look at this balance sheet.
