steel inventories, IO port inventories, IO inventories at mills are all very low. Not sure why bhp talked down IO so much. No chance of getting to USD 80 as the cost curve has increased significantly in the last couple of years except the main 3 in Oz. Even vale has break even or USD 62 now
Also scrap commentary is rehashing garbage from years ago. Scrap usage has collapsed in blast furnaces and EAF operational rates are not even 50%, many have to close to conserve power usage and scrap is scarce and unprofitable.
