One partial explanation is EVT (a large chunk of CIN's assets) has to pay more in land taxes thanks to State Labor governments doing their best to kill the golden goose, so to speak.
It's worst in Victoria that has a huge 16 property taxes compared with three in some other Australian jurisdictions.
But then many Labor Ministers and MPs are ex trade unionists who've never operated a for profit private sector business. It shows!
I've previously held CIN and EVT, and exited profitably.
