how does that work with drp discounts and if they aren't able to purchase sufficient shares on market at the nominated price?
ive never been a massive fan of drp's and prefer the cash, buying more myself on dips if so inclined.
as far as i was aware drps was always a new issue with the cash staying on balance sheet, but new shares issued so its a scratch dilution wise (diluted in % though).
i am a massive fan of buy backs over dividends personally, particularly when the scrip is cheap. But retaining dividend proceeds to buy on market is a new one for me (admittedly never looked that closely).
