Yes you will be entitled for dividend if you buy before ex-div date and if you sell on ex dividend date you will still get dividend, but the rider is if your dividend is more than 5k then you will not get the franking credit and you will be taxed optimum on dividend (you have a 45 day hold period on dividends)
