Ann: Dividend/Distribution - FMG, page-15

Just for laughs, I have started tracking dividend expectations versus outcomes. Based on my understanding of consensus forecasts the dividend payout in FY23 (ie the amount distributed to shareholders during the financial year) is around 20% more than anticipated - ie it came in on the upside. Now I know some of these brokers put in all sorts of numbers but the takehome message is that this FY - distributed divs are a bit more than the forecasts of roughly a year ago. Next year concensus is for a lower overall payout - likely reflecting lower IO prices (will need to update these as brokers update their forecasts in the next little while).
